In our homes we invite friends to “come on in” past the entry way and into the living room so we can get to know each other better. We sit down, maybe have a cup of coffee and talk awhile… Often people visit churches, but never seem to get very far away from the “entry environments”—even when they genuinely want to get connected to some friends. We never want that to happen. We’ve come up with some ways to get a little better acquainted. We have an online church directory called The Loop and we encourage you to login and add your name and family so we can help you get plugged in.
Also, stop and introduce yourself in the lobby at the Information and Hospitality Center. Soon you’ll receive an invitation to a “NEXT STEP DINNER.” It’s a no-pressure, good time of food and fellowship with some of Shepherd’s leaders. If you feel like you’d like to know some basic beliefs of Shepherd Church and get an idea of the ministry priorities here, you’ll receive an invitation to what we call, “NEED TO KNOW.” It is a time where our pastors welcome smaller groups, share about basic beliefs of the church and enjoy some more good food together.
