. . . more about Shelly

After graduating college Shelly was an itinerant worship leader and song evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene. She went on to lead worship in several strong churches, specializing in helping churches transition into a more contemporary style of worship. After living for a year in Nashville leading worship and pursuing song writing, Shelly moved back to Ohio and launched a non-profit ministry in 2017 called Shelly Head Ministries where she teaches seminars on worship leading and helps equip other worship leaders. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to preach, teach, and lead worship in many local, district and general church venues. Shelly is passionate about worshipping our God in Spirit and in Truth as Jesus taught in John 4:24, and she enjoys every opportunity she gets to share about the greatness and faithfulness of God.

Shelly has been married to her husband Dan since 1987. They have three amazing sons and currently three grands. Bailey and his wife Sarah and two children live in Hilliard, Oh where Bailey is the Worship Pastor at The Refinery Church. Jeremy and his wife Breanna and son live in Wooster, OH, where Jeremy works as a plumber. And son Nate lives in LA where he is working in the music industry.

Shelly loves being outdoors, whether hiking, trail running or fishing. Any day she catches a big fish is a really good day! She also has a great passion for songwriting and is often composing in her head until she can get to a quiet place to write.

Shelly has a BA degree in Church Music from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She is currently studying a Masters in Ministry through Mount Vernon Nazarene University, set to complete in November 2021. She has been an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene since 2002 and holds certifications as Evangelist, Song Evangelist and Chaplain in the Church of the Nazarene.
