TAKE A TOUR
What can I expect when I visit Shepherd?
You can expect a casual atmosphere and friendly faces. Our mission is to Connect our Community in a Meaningful Relationship with Christ, so we hope that from the minute you enter our campus, you feel at home.
What time are your Sunday morning services?
We have three services every Sunday morning. Traditional worship is at 8:00, and blended contemporary services at 9:30 and 11:00. We have Nursery, Toddler care and Children's Worship during all services during the school year and during 9:30 and 11:00 services in the summer. Children are also welcome in the sanctuary at any time.
Where do I park?
We have a large parking lot with plenty of spaces and handicap accessible parking close to the entrances. We have no steps to navigate either!
What do I need to know before I go in?
As you walk into the lobby, one of the first things you’ll see is t Information & Hospitality Center. The folks there can answer any questions and direct you to the right place.
Once inside, what do I do with my children?
We have a great Children's Ministry with a powerful children's worship experience during the 9:30 & 11:00 services. If you would like your children to participate we have a check-in process that ensures their safety. You can check them in in the foyer of the Children's Ministry area. There are volunteers to assist you with check-in and they will show you and your child to their proper spaces. Your children will enjoy a lesson, music, crafts, and more—all geared specifically to their age group. You can pick them up from their classroom at the end of each service. Be sure to bring the ID tag you received at check-in so that you can check them out of their space at the end! Sit wherever you like!
Then what do I do?
After dropping off your kids, you’ll head into the sanctuary to enjoy the service. Be sure to grab a direct-trade coffee in the foyer on your way! Someone will greet you at the entrance and give you any information that you may find helpful. Feel free to ask them any questions. They are there to help.
Will it be crowded? How many people will be there?
If you arrive at the sanctuary about 10 minutes early you will find plenty of seats available, front or back! Frequently the 9:30 service becomes a full house by starting time, but the ushers will help you find a seat. Our sanctuary seats 350 people. If you prefer a smaller crowd with more room to breathe you may want to visit the 8:00 or 11:00 service.
Am I allowed to bring my morning coffee into church?
By all means. Also, be sure to get a cup of our Direct Trade coffee in the lobby. This coffee is purchased directly from the farmer that grew it for a fair price which allows them to treat their workers fairly. The farmers we use are contributing a portion of their earnings to plant churches in their native country!
Do I need to dress up?
You can dress however you want! You will find the congregation dressed in a wide variety of styles, but most are casual. The pastor is ALWAYS casual.
What is the worship service like?
Our services usually feature worship music and a relevant message. Each service is about an hour long. The 8:00 service is more traditional in style with hymns. The other services feature contemporary music, and all three services have the same message.
What happens after the service?
After church, we invite our guests to "The Welcome Room" located at the rear of the sanctuary. There you can meet one of the pastors, get a fresh baked cookie, and receive a packet of information about Shepherd.
