Brett began serving as Shepherd’s Children’s Pastor in January of 2024. He oversees the spiritual growth and discipleship of Shepherd’s children with the goal of helping them to grow in love and likeness of Christ. Brett has been attending Shepherd his whole life along with his parents Trevor and Clarissa, and his sister Marlee Holmes. Brett graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry. He has served as an intern at Shepherd in the past, and formerly served as a Youth Pastor at Loudonville Church of the Nazarene. In June of 2023, Brett married his wife Emma (formerly Upton) who is also a lifelong Shepherd member. The two currently reside in Mount Vernon, Ohio while Emma finishes her final year in MVNU’s nursing program.
